Robert Stevens, MBA, President

Robert Stevens is a 1980 MBA from Loyola University of New Orleans. Stevens’ real estate career began in 1978; while attending graduate school, he worked with a painting contractor and sold residential real estate. In 1979 he accepted a position with South Central Bell Telephone Company and performed corporate real estate acquisitions. In 1984 he began working for Travelers Insurance Company as commercial investment manager for Louisiana. While in this position, he performed both commercial lending and asset management duties. In 1985 Stevens successfully completed all course requirements for an MAI appraisal designation. From 1988 to 1994, before opening The Stevens Realty Group, he was involved in property management. He was Senior Vice President at Westminster Management Company and then President of Real Estate Management Corporation.

Currently, he is a member of the National, Louisiana, and New Orleans boards of Realtors and an associate member of CCIM. He was also elected to the Louisiana REALTORS New Orleans Metropolitan Political Action Team in 2016. Stevens was president of the New Orleans Commercial Investment Division (CID) in 2011 and Commercial Director of the Louisiana Realtors in 2015. He also received CID’s Service to the Industry Award in 2013, as well as consecutive sales and leasing volume achievement awards from 2013-2016. He was also CID’s top overall producer of land transactions in 2015.

Jim Stratton has a degree in Anthropology from Kansas State University. While in graduate school at Tulane University, he began working for Robert L. Siegel and Associates in real estate market research. After ten years there, he began working for himself as Stratton Research and continues to offer market studies and feasibility analysis for all types of land use, with an emphasis on self-storage, residential and mixed use development.

Jim obtained his Real Estate License in 2009 and began working for Gardner Realtors. He joined The Stevens Realty Group in 2013 and plans to continue to serve residential clients as well as venture into commercial real estate services. Jim shall use his market research background and produce reports on certain property types, medical offices and mini-storage facilities. Jim has produced reports on self-storage in conjunction with The Stevens Realty Group. His most recent report can be found here: 2015 Self-Storage Report.

He is currently working on his CCIM designation and has sat on the board of the Commercial Investment Division of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors where he also chaired the Service to the Community Committee. While chairman of this committee, he helped raise more than $25,000 for Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans. He is also President of the Board of Greenlight New Orleans which is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping all citizens reduce their carbon footprint and live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Robert E. Stevens is a 2010 MBA from the University of New Orleans and a 2008 graduate of LSU’s College of Business with a degree in Economics. He began working part-time at The Stevens Realty Group while in graduate school as bookkeeper and accounting liaison with property owners and CPA’s. Stevens is a 2012 licensee with the Louisiana Real Estate Commission and as a full-time employee, currently assists in property management while directing and controlling financial reporting as required by owners. He has been instrumental in adopting and training the team on the Appfolio property management system. Rob has been an award winner of NOMAR’s Commercial Investment Division achievement awards for sales and leasing for both 2015 and 2016.



Our support staff include Bill Guess and Kathy Stevens who perform bookkeeping functions.
