Robert Stevens is a 1980 MBA from Loyola University of New Orleans. Stevens’ real estate career began in 1978; while attending graduate school, he worked with a painting contractor and sold residential real estate. In 1979 he accepted a position with South Central Bell Telephone Company and performed corporate real estate acquisitions. In 1984 he began working for Travelers Insurance Company as commercial investment manager for Louisiana. While in this position, he performed both commercial lending and asset management duties. In 1985 Stevens successfully completed all course requirements for an MAI appraisal designation. From 1988 to 1994, before opening The Stevens Realty Group, he was involved in property management. He was Senior Vice President at Westminster Management Company and then President of Real Estate Management Company.

Currently, he is a member of the National, Louisiana, and New Orleans boards of Realtors and an associate member of CCIM. Stevens was a board member of Louisiana Realtors in 2010 and president of the New Orleans Commercial Investment Division in 2011. His primary real estate activity is in the New Orleans metro area as well as Baton Rouge. He has also advised clients on properties in Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

I wish I could give Bob more than 5 stars. Through his diligence and knowledge of the NOLA real estate market we were able to secure a building in the unusual (for NOLA) configuration we needed. As a result we are building out a great building in a location better than we could ever had imagined. If you need commercial real estate services, you should probably stop looking now and just call Bob.

Stevens Realty Group had been managing our condominium property association (comprised of both residential and commercial units) for over 5 years. Rob Stevens has been very responsive to our association’s needs and he has managed our budgeting issues very well. Emails and phone calls are always answered in a very timely manner. Also, Rob handled complex hurricane related insurance issues and a full roof replacement with great aplomb. I highly recommend them.

The Stevens Realty Group has literally made over one million dollars for our club in the past 15 years. I used The Stevens Realty Group for two property sales and tenant placement. I was pleased that they could handle both commercial and residential sales and leases. In 2021 I sold a commercial property that involved complicated property valuation due to a existing commercial lease and resolution of first refusal options. The sale started before Hurricane Ida and completed soon thereafter even with issues caused by the storm. Concerning a residential property that I owned in 2020 at the height of Covid the Stevens Reality Group found a tenant when the existing tenant moved due to pandemic issues. I just recently sold the same property and Stevens handled that sale to completion in what is now a challenging market. I appreciated the depth of knowledge in both commercial and residential markets. I found Stevens Real Estate Group to be professional, prompt and excellent communicators. I would use them again!
